Dear Respected Parents / Guardians,​

We pray that you and your family are in the best of health and Imaan during these unprecedented time. We pray that Allah give the whole humanity cure and protection from the pandemic. Ameen

In the current testing climate, we are aware that as parents you will be thinking about how to continue the Islamic education of your children especially when their madrassah classes are temporarily suspended. All of us at Abu Bakr Madrassah are also concerned about the Islamic education of your children and that’s why, in the past couple of weeks, we have been working on to set up online Madrasah sessions in order to continue with our children Islamic education.

We are very pleased to announce that we have decided to start Madrassah classes online from next week commencing 1st session Wednesday 22th April 2020 Insha Allah.

We have decided to use Microsoft Teams platform to deliver online classes, even though this is a quite simple and straightforward plateform to use, there might be some teething problems as this is something quite new to some of us - we can all learn together as we go along!

Insha’Allah we will be emailing you all the required information and the link to join the online classes. Therfeore, it is really important that we have your up to date email address. Please make sure you check and update your email address as soon as possible and communicate this to us in Raziil (our madrassah online portal). PLEASE DON’T TEXT US YOUR UPDATED EMAIL.

In order to ensure the online classes are delivered smoothly and are beneficial to all the students, can you please follow the below guideline.

• Find a quiet place where you won’t be interrupted
• We recommend an adult on hand, especially for younger children, in case help is needed
• Get ready the equipment, check connection, sound etc so that you can join the class on time
• Please ensure that your child has performed the wudu, has comfortable seating and has all the required books needed for the online class
• We recommend you turn on your camera if you have one - so we can see you
• We expect the same standard of behaviour from all children as we implement in the madrassah classroom
• The online sessions will be group sessions so please be considerate towards the respect and privacy of others on the session.

Timing of online classes:

Shift A: Monday & Wednesday from 4:00pm-5:30pm and Sunday 10:00am-11:30am.

Shift B: Tuesday & Thursday from 4:00pm-5:30pm and Sunday 11:30pm-1:00pm.

We are looking forward to seeing you all and resuming the Madrassah classes online. This is, of course, a temporary arrangement and we hope and pray that we can return to our normal classes very soon.
